Yukon Electrical, a pioneering company established in 1901, has grown with the Yukon. It also benefits from being part of the ATCO Group of Companies. Yukon Electrical’s community investments are augmented by ATCO’s long-time presence in the North.

ATCO has a long-standing philosophy of supporting the communities where we live and work. Our community investment initiatives touch all aspects of life, including health and wellness and programs for youth and sports.

ATCO EPIC (Employees Participating in Communities) is an employee-led program where the company matches donations made by employees to the charities of their choice. This ensures that our employees in all locations can make a personal impact.

As the Official Supplier to the 2007 Canada Winter Games in Whitehorse, the ATCO Group of Companies supplied modular units to sport venue sites, electrical service to power the action, security at the Athletes Village and both laptop and desktop computers to keep the information flowing. ATCO volunteers donated their time at ATCO Place, which hosted the opening and closing ceremonies and cultural events.
