Yukon Electrical and its 55 employees know the Yukon is an extraordinary place. In fact, it’s a way of life. Our employees live, work and play in the Yukon. They participate in our communities with the understanding that we have to work together to enhance our social, economic and environmental well being.
As part of our commitment to the Yukon, Yukon Electrical invests in the following organizations that are striving to improve our communities:
Yukon Electrical holds an annual Customer Appreciation Barbeque for all to attend. In past years Yukon Electrical has given away 360 hotdogs and 1010 hamburgers to the public. To help raise funds for the United Way, Salvation Army and Mary House, Yukon Electrical puts on an annual Turkey Trot running race with all the proceeds going to the society of the entrant’s choice. In past years Yukon Electrical has been able to donate up to $4,200.00 to these groups.
ATCO EPIC – Employees Participating in Communities – give employees the opportunity to contribute to the charitable organizations of their choice in the communities where they live and work. For 2009 ATCO and its people have pledged to give $2.7 million to more than 500 charities around the world. Yukon Electrical employees have pledged to give $14,000.
This employee-led annual initiative, combines fundraising events, auctions, friendly team competitions and employee pledges. ATCO matches funds given by employees as well as supports the administration of the campaign, ensuring that 100% of employee led donations go towards the employee’s charity of choice.
ATCO’s employee community spirit continues to thrive through our ATCO EPIC campaign.
